Overview

A two-day woodworking course for complete beginners in an off-grid workshop in the Indigo Valley. Guided by Andy Hooke, you build a four-legged stool from scratch using locally sourced and recycled timber. You learn safe use of woodworking machinery, hand tool techniques, timber selection and preparation, shaping and joinery, then sanding and finishing. All materials and timber, tuition, use of tools, and morning and afternoon tea are included, and you take the finished stool home. Courses run in a small group, with numbers limited so that everyone gets individual guidance. The workshop is off-grid, at Andy's home in the Indigo Valley, 30 minutes from Albury Wodonga, 15 minutes from Yackandandah and 25 minutes from Beechworth. Many people stay nearby and make a weekend of it. Indigo Woodworks asks for a 50% deposit on booking and the rest when the course finishes. Gift certificates are available.
