The business
Salty Cowboy is a horse rescue and riding centre in Bali, run by Simone. Every horse here has a story. Some were retired from work, others rescued from neglect. Now they carry riders along black sand beaches, through rice paddies at sunset, and around the paddock for anyone learning for the first time.
What you get
Real riding, not a tourist trot. Whether you've never been on a horse or you've ridden your whole life, Simone matches you to a horse that suits you. Beach rides start from the stables and head out along the sand. Sunset rides time it so you're watching the light drop over the water. Lessons start in the paddock and build from there.
