Overview

Aysha Hansen is an independent Australian perfumer, born in Geelong and raised in Torquay. In her two-hour workshop you sit at her bench, smell your way through 70 ingredients from around the world (natural extracts, aroma chemicals and classic accords) and learn how top, middle and base notes fit together. You leave with a 30ml or 50ml eau de toilette you made yourself. She keeps your formula on file, so you can order it again later, made up at eau de parfum strength, from $135 for 30ml. The workshop suits beginners as well as fragrance lovers, on your own or in a group of up to 8, and her site suggests it for birthdays, bridal parties, mother-and-daughter days and team building. Her atelier is at Boom Creative Spaces in Newtown.
